Upper Mall (Thames Footpath)

This project was a collaborative effort between IC&T Projects, Dominic McKenzie Architects, and Stelly Selway Interior Design Studio. It involved the full refurbishment of an end of terrace Victorian riverfront home, including the creation of a new basement level, a rear extension, and a loft conversion. A key part of the brief was to preserve and restore the property’s original period features like ceiling roses, fireplaces, sash windows, architraves, and decorative mouldings, while creating a harmonious, practical environment for a busy family. The interior design reflects the clients’ heritage, thoughtfully integrating both Chinese and Scottish influences throughout the home. We also collaborated closely with local craftspeople to produce bespoke architectural details, including the Father Thames sculpture that now forms a striking focal point above the newly built rear extension.
